A couple of year ago when looking for a holiday with a bit more adventure in it, we found Mountain Action Holiday and thought we'd look a little deeper into it!

We're just back from another wonderful trip to Croatia, our fourth trip now with MAH, and with so much to do its hard to remember where to start!!
A taxi transfer awaited our arrival, taking us to our jaw dropping and stunning residence for the week with the most beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, sea and the lovely view of Brac Island in the distance.
The days started with a Yoga session to get you off on the right foot and then breakfast by the kind and caring Kate who makes everything feel so homely! Activities ranged from Hiking, White Water Rafting, a river cruise. Zip Lining, my favourite, a sailing trip to Brac Island and got to swim in the crystal clear waters of the Adraictic Sea followed by delicious and traditional Croatian food, Wine and Beer on board. All but to name a few!
And in the evening, relaxing back at Villa in the Pool, Sauna and Hottub, delicious and mouthwatering food was prepard be the master and genius, Chef Geoge (thanks again George!!) and was enjoyed with the BEST bunch of people that we met on this trip.
New memories have been created, new friend have been made and all because of Mountain Action Holidays and its amazing team!
So if you concider yourself adventurous, out going or someone who simple wants to have a good time, I'd HIGHLY recommend Mountain Action Holidays and I guarantee, you will return again!!

The adventure started on a Sunday, where we were greeted immediately at the airport. Our transfer was simply perfect and we enjoyed the short trip from Split to Omis, taking in the views.
We couldn't believe our luck as we stopped outside of our home for the next 5 days. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Everything from our beautiful accommodation to our delicious meals was 10/10.
Our 5 day break included white water rafting, a boat trip, zip lining, walks through old towns and up over mountains. Our days started with yoga and a tasty breakfast and ended with 3 course meals and great company. We couldn't recommend one single way to improve our experience with Mountain Action Holidays. This is our 3rd time travelling with them. We will choose them everytime for our adventures!

On the agenda for day three was a sailing trip, including an amazing lunch, to the small picturesque island of Brac where we took time for a peaceful coffee before sailing to a small cove where swimming, snorkelling and paddleboarding in crystalline waters preceded a selection of canapes, hot savoury pastries and homemade cheesecake served on the boat. This was followed by the owner's homemade walnut liqueur. It was an absolutely stunning day under clear blue skies and will genuinely rank among the best and most memorable of my life.
We visited Crotia in October and the weather was pleasantly warm in the daytime, balmy enough for shorts, T-shirts and sea swimming. The evenings became slightly chilly so a jumper or light jacket is recommended. Our entire visit was made so easy by Julie at Mountain Action Holidays, who is an absolute force of nature and ensured that everybody had a fantastic time, creating an atmosphere of relaxed camaraderie - the amount of laughter in the villa and the friendships that were formed are testament to her and her team skills as a hosts. Just got back from an incredible holiday in Omis Croatia with Mountain Action Holidays - thank you so much for everything.
From Zip Lining to Jet Skiing, Fishing to yoga this trip had it all. You have the freedom to choose whatever activities you liked or if preferred to just have an easy chilled day going for a nice walk and coffee in town or a day at the beach it was ideal for choice and options.
What can I say about the villa...it was just beautiful with breath taking views of the sea, a lovely outdoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a very short stroll into town making it the most relaxing place to stay.
Combine this with just the best food from George the chef alongside the super accommodating staff and all of the wonderful guests made this the perfect week.
Thank you Julie and Mountain Action Holidays for such an amazing time and I will be back for sure whether its a ski or summer holiday. I cant wait for the next one.

The boat trip to Brac Island is not to be missed, an amazing day on the water and in the island bays.

We have just returned from a week in Chamonix. This is the perfect family holiday if you are looking to keep the kids active whilst also allowing some chill out time. Julie was on hand throughout to offer great advice and suggestions. It was a joy to be greeted each evening by our host and our chef who helped keep the kids entertained as well as providing excellent food. The activities we did included: White Water Rafting, Hiking, Canyoning, Rock Climbing, Swimming - we are already talking of returning in order to complete more activiies which we didn't have the time to do. Thanks Julie and team for providing the perfect family adventure!
This was a marvellous stay and we're thinking of going again with the same company. You have your own private chef so if your that person that always cooks for your family, your in for a treat. Lots of activities to do and is better than sat next to a pool with nothing to do but go down not so fun slides. This was the best holiday we've been on by far!!!
We had a fabulous time staying at the Chalet Falcon. We went mountain biking, rock climbing, canyoning, white water rafting and via ferrata. The activities were really well managed and guided. Julie was efficient in co-ordinating everything and the breakfasts and evening meals prepared by Jo and Andrew were amazing.
I can't recommend mountain action holidays enough. They were absolutely fantastic. The accommodation was beautiful, food amazing, activities and guides all fantastic and the team just couldn't be any more helpful. Just a brilliant holiday!
What can I say... Adam is an amazing chef. It was also great the way he presented the meals for us to take what we wanted. This was particularly good for the girls. Pancakes were a firm favorite for breakfast. It was lovely to have a bar-b-q.
Having done ski chalet holidays in the past, this was an equally great experience. There was a lovely homely feel and experience. Everyone was very approachable. The family we spent the week with were great fun
"The activities are what made the holiday. With active teenagers it is definitely a way to have them want to come on holidays with us.
When I ask them for their favorites I get them all listed for different reasons - Canyoning / Paragliding / Rock climbing / Hydro speed / Via ferrata / afternoon at the lake.
It was good to be able to switch the white water rafting for rock climbing, last minute.
With older active girls, it was good to be able to add extra activities.
We were also lucky to be able to experience the world climbing championships in Chamonix whilst we were there."

We have just returned from our second Mountain Action Holiday and to say we’ve had an incredible time (on both!) is an understatement. From initial enquiry to our departure home, Julie has gone above and beyond to make our experience as stress free as possible. From organising car seats/travel cots and high chairs to recommending appropriate walks or activities we could do as a family with our little one. The icing on the cake was Julie sourcing superb local childminders, so my husband and I were able to participate in some activities, has made our holiday experiences better than we could have ever imagined. We were also extremely grateful for her support in organising last minute antigen testing in resort for our return to the UK. This was after imminent changes were made to travel restrictions to our return home, once we were already in France and left us with no idea of what to do.
In both Croatia and Chamonix, the level of service provided by the team was second to none and the food was delicious catering for all needs. The chalets were comfortable and we were made to feel at home for the duration of our stay. The new Chalet Falcon in Argentiere is very centrally located within walking distance to all amenities and in close proximity to nearest ski lift and was incredible value for money. Thank you so much Julie and Paul for such an incredible time and we are already planning our next trip with Mountain Action Holidays
Awesome holiday! We booked this based on the website and reviews and we were not disappointed. We were two adults plus 14, 17 and 18 yr olds. Julie, Paul and Justine are the dream team as far as we are concerned! They made the holiday a huge success with great attention to detail and unending flexibility. For example:
Julie drafted the week knowing what we wanted to do, she monitored the weather constantly and adapted our activities and their timing to max out our enjoyment, always keeping us up to date. She is a whirling dervish with the ultimate black book of contacts in the area!
Paul ('Tall Paul!') is an unending wealth of local info and finest chef in the valley and mountains. He was very considerate to our party re everyones needs and cooked up some fantastic meals. Especially welcome after a long hike.
Justine was renamed 'Wonder Woman' by our daughter on an esp challenging hike involving blisters! She bridged the age gaps seamlessly and guided us in a friendly way. Like the others she has been in the area for years and it shows, every random question she knew the answer to!
The chalet was perfect. Plenty of space, sauna, hot tub and everyone slept well and comfortably. Located really well with a lovely 30 min river side walk into Argentierre (nice cafes, restaurants, shops etc).
We did the Family Mountain Discovery Week with tweaks. If you get the chance the White Water Rafting is fantastic plus trip up to the Aguille du Midi is worth the ticket.

Paul is a fantastic chef and with Gary and Connor’s support, the meals were very, very tasty…..and, of course, were supplemented with a few glasses of beer and wine - overall could not be beaten!

White water rafting, cayoning, climbing assault course, mountain biking, hiking and picnics by the lake - best holiday ever! I recently went to beautiful Chamonix with my husband and three kids (9,10&13). Mountain action holidays did a superb job at organising activities for my husband and kids whilst suggesting nice cafes and gentle hikes for me and my 6 month baby bump.
The chalet was also amazing, with views to die for and was really clean. I was really surprised with the quality of the food too, I love cooking so usually unimpressed with the quality on these sort of holidays. However, the food was freshly made, really delicious and served with a smile!
We're looking forward to coming back next year!

The staff were amazing, They made me feel like family.
The guide was very friendly and did not take anyone out of their depth. Every jump was optional and he made that clear so there was no pressure if you didn’t want to do it
The food was out of this world, fresh every day. Felt very spoilt.
Activities were really good. All the instructors were so patient and very friendly. Did things that I didn’t think I would ever do and that’s down to the instructors being so good.
The activities were always massive fun even, or perhaps because, they pushed us out of our comfort zones.
Can’t say that there is any thing to complain about at all. I would thoroughly recommend booking with Julie felt like I was really looked after in everything way. Very well worth the money and I will definitely be going back with Mountain Action Holidays again, hopefully very soon!
The activities were fantastic very well thought of. From getting to the activities, to doing the activities there was no stress or worries at all. The staff made sure of that.
The food was top class. It was nice knowing that it was local produce. And everything was fresh. Still can’t believe alcohol is all-inclusive it was a nice little bonus and good value for money.
My husband booked this weekend as a suprise for me. It was the best trip I've ever been on that included a perfect balance of amazing adventures, delicious food, plenty of relaxation time, superb company and a luxurious chalet to stay in with the kindest and most generous hosts I've ever had the pleasure of being looked after by!
Day one's adventures included Via Ferrata and e-biking, day two was our very wet day which involved canyoning (absolutely awesome) and canoeing, and day three started with a beautiful parapont, a nice walk into Chamonix followed by an afternoon tea back at the Chalet.
In between all of these activities was plenty of time to rest, use the hot tub at the Chalet, visit some local bars/cafes and eat delicious freshly prepared food (made by Paul). Paul and Julie had organised everything so that we did not need to worry about a single thing. We shared our adventures with 4 other people who we did not know, but by the end of the weekend we had made really great friends who we're still in touch with.
I cannot wait for my next trip with Mountain Action Holidays and 100% recommend you to get in touch with them if you want a break that will give you an experience that you will never forget. Thanks Julie and Paul, it really was an amazing birthday weekend!
I booked the trip to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and it exceeded all expectations. I knew the location and activities would be amazing, but wasn't quite prepared for Julie and Paul. They totally made the trip for us. Julie's main aim is to make the time be as perfect as possible and she did not fail. On hand whenever needed and nothing was ever a problem for her. Then there is Paul who kept us fed watered and transported. Fed is an understatement as everything Paul produced was fresh tasty and simply amazing. Again just like Julie nothing was a problem for Paul and our enjoyment and relaxation was paramount.
A mixture of high adrenaline during the activities and chilled out bliss at the Chalet in between. The Chalet is luxurious and spacious and perfect in every way.
I am trying to find something to be negative about but there simply isn't anything.
All you need to worry about is your flight. Transfers, activities, accommodation, transport and food are all included. It is clear that the ethos of Mountain Activity Holidays is not on profit but on customer satisfaction and enjoyment.
I cannot recommend them highly enough and we will 100% be returning.
